Swedish Midsummer Celebration Returns to the National Mall!

Join us for the annual Swedish Midsummer Celebration—one of Sweden’s most cherished traditions—set in the vibrant heart of Washington, DC! 🇸🇪🇺🇸 This event aims to transform Midsummer into a signature Swedish-American festivity that unites individuals from diverse backgrounds, fostering a spirit of community, culture, and joy.

This year's festivities are even more special as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States, reflecting on our deep historical connections dating back to when the early settlers of New Sweden arrived at the Delaware River.

Last year’s celebration attracted nearly 4,000 attendees, including families and friends, for a lively evening filled with dancing, music, and cultural exchange at the Sylvan Theater.

This year, enjoy a dynamic lineup featuring:

• 🌼 Classic Midsummer traditions like flower wreath making
• 🎶 Dancing around the Midsummer pole
• 💿 High-energy hits from DJ G-MONEY
• 🎤 Performances by the Swedish cover band One Hell of a Band, playing tunes from ABBA, Roxette, Ace of Base, and timeless American favorites!
