SWIMS Shin:dig [live ambient & experimental]

Ambient and experimental record label SWIMS takes over Bethnal Green’s favourite records and books boutique, Caravan, for an afternoon of live music, DJ sets and live art. The event is free entry and welcomes everyone for a relaxed arts social. BYOB, with drinks also available at the venue.

About the programme:

Berlin-based South Korean artist soo:k will perform a live set in anticipation of her second album on SWIMS, following the adored 2025 ambient electronica debut Orchadia. For those who missed her epic 2h performance at Space Talk the week before, this is an opportunity to experience her music in a more casual setting.

London-based Russian artist Pavel Doronin performs his new live set, also in anticipation of a forthcoming album, his debut under his own name. Expect intricate spatial ambient infused with live instrumental recordings captured in various spaces across Europe.

On disc jockey duty, Caravan boss and recording artist DJ Himitsu will provide a selection of records from his vast collection.

Amidst the music, esteemed illustrator David Huang, aka omguac, will be live painting on an XL canvas throughout the afternoon.

On support duties, the SWIMS DJ squad, Matt, Pete and Richard, will play an eclectic blend ranging from experimental oddities and folk melancholia to ambient techno.
