The Queer Bash
RedTIE Theatre presents: The Queer Bash in its first performance outside England!
The LGBTQ+ community has much to celebrate after decades of fighting to ensure our human rights are protected and respected. However, there is also ever-growing trepidation and fear.
On both sides of the Atlantic, the socio-political climate is becoming increasingly hostile to the LGBTQ+ community.
- The powerful speak with vitriol.
- Misinformation spreads unchallenged.
- Legislation is being proposed that could push people out of public life.
After several strides in the right direction, progress has turned into regress.
The Queer Bash is an in-depth exploration of current issues facing the LGBTQ+ community, alongside historical struggles that remain relevant today. It also serves as an unapologetic celebration of the LGBTQ+ community — a brutally honest and colorful emotional rollercoaster that is both funny and poignant.
The goal of The Queer Bash is to entertain and enlighten audiences. For those represented, it serves to celebrate the community and shed light on familiar hardships. For those not part of the community, it aims to reveal the reality of being LGBTQ+ in the modern world.
This performance is delivered by a group of young actors from England, and the ticket price helps cover their costs to perform in Copenhagen.
⚠️ Please note: The performance is in English.
