Thursday Night Kirtan
Join us every Thursday for an evening filled with singing, dancing, and delicious vegetarian food! πΆβ¨
Kirtan, from the Sanskrit meaning "to call, recite, praise, or glorify," is a dynamic form of meditation/worship that engages the heart and soul through call-and-response singing of sacred mantras and names of the Divine. ποΈ
Experience joyful vocal prayer as we play instruments like the harmonium, mridanga (Indian clay drum), and kartals (hand cymbals). Feel free to join in with our instruments or bring your own! π€π₯
After the Kirtan, enjoy prasad, a meal blessed and offered to the Divine, embodying community and grace. All food served is vegetarian (often vegan & gluten-free), and a variety of beverages will be available. Please inform us of any food sensitivities when you join! π±π₯€
This is a relaxed gathering, welcoming all ages and experience levels. No musical proficiency is needed; just bring an open heart! π
A love donation of $0 is appreciated, but it's entirely voluntaryβjust come as you are, no registration required! If you feel inspired to contribute after the session, we graciously accept. π
