TOMMY RUNS 2026 - 5KM & 10KM

🌊 Join us for the Tommy Runs on Sunday, 1st November 2026!

Ignite your passion for running at this renowned event held along the breathtaking Seaham seafront, featuring a blend of road, promenade, and coastal trails. The race kicks off at the iconic Tommy War Memorial Statue, honoring the brave soldiers of WWI.

A moment of reflection will take place before each race with a minute of silence. This statue symbolically commemorates the first moment of peace after the Armistice, portraying the quintessential private soldier, Tommy Atkins.

📍 Location: Tommy Statue, North Terrace, Seaham, SR7 7EU
🏁 Race Distances:
🏃 5KM Run (Age 11+):

• Closed roads with only 80ft of elevation. Perfect for achieving that personal best!
  🏃 10KM Run (Age 15+):
• A scenic seafront course through mixed terrain.

🕤 Start Times:

• 5KM: 9:30 AM
• 10KM: 9:30 AM

⏱️ Cut-Off Time:

• 90 minutes due to road closures. This is a running race only and not suitable for walkers.

🐶 Cani-Cross:

• Please note: This event is NOT dog-friendly.

⏱️ Timing:

• Live chip-timing provided by Timing Up North.
• Every finisher will receive:

  • 🍫 Snack and 🧃 Drink

A part of the ticket sales will go to the Royal British Legion and Help for Heroes.
