Trapeze is the result of research on contemporary (European) circus and clowning. Trapeze is a choreographic performance that subversively explores, among other things, the figure of the clown as a symbol of contemporary tensions and distorted realities. The clown, for centuries balancing between comedy and tragedy, becomes a key to considering the illusion that permeates everyday lives. The performance utilizes the circus structure as a portal—a space where reality and illusion constantly intertwine. This world, guided by the clown, is not only a play of form and virtuosity but also a profound reflection on contemporary social, media, and cultural constructs. Trapeze is an artistic commentary on the contemporary human condition, who—like the clown—travels between chaos and order, play and contemplation, striving to find their identity in a world of uncertainty and illusion.
