TRR Fredericksburg - Biweekly Richmond Lower James Intermediate Sessions

Join us for the INTERMEDIATE level paddling sessions on the beautiful Lower James (LJ), hosted by TRR Richmond for Veterans! 🚣‍♂️

Important Details:

• 📅 Sign Up: No later than 24 hours in advance of the session.
• ⚠️ Clearance Required: If you've never paddled the LJ with TRR before, you'll need to be cleared for the necessary skills.
• 🌊 Water Level Dependent: If the river exceeds 6 ft, we will switch to the Upper James. This information will be updated on our Facebook page.
• 🌩️ Weather Considerations: Sessions may be canceled due to predicted storms; updates will also be posted on Facebook.

Gear Requirements:

• Participants must provide their own gear and should possess skills in ferrying, eddying, edge control, and combat rolling suitable for Class 3 whitewater.
• If you need gear, please arrange it with TRR Fredericksburg staff beforehand, as it is not available onsite.

Meeting Details:

• We will gather at the 14th Street takeout to set up the shuttle and plan to leave promptly at 5 PM for the put-in. Be sure to be dressed and ready to go!
