Viah + support: nevertouch

Viah is a Prague-based electropop band consisting of the musical trio Vi, Rosa, and Tomáš, along with visual artist Nina. Their music is built on delicate harmonies, danceable beats, and sonic experiments that draw you into their personal “emotional sauna.”

On stage, they move between an intimate atmosphere and a dynamic club tempo—introverted souls with a need for exhibitionism, moody, cheeky, with an eye for detail and a desire to surprise not only each other but also the audience. The album Saudade was created along the Portuguese Fishing Trail, in a landscape of sand, wild trees, and wind-whipped cliffs. The Year of the Dragon brought unbridled energy, courage, and movement to the band’s work, while the Year of the Snake brought a dive into the softer layers of sound, regeneration, and intuition. In collaboration with producer Tomáš Martínek, the band shifted its sound toward bolder, more club-oriented, yet simultaneously ambient directions. Saudade is a Portuguese term for a peculiar blend of nostalgia, gratitude, sadness, and joy—longing and love. For Viah, this album is a manifesto of a new creative path and an invitation to discover the worlds they can convey through sound. Since their founding in 2017, they have played over 100 concerts (20 of them abroad) and performed at festivals such as Sziget 2023, Colours of Ostrava 2023, and Waves Vienna. In 2019, they won Radio Wave’s Czeching music competition.
