Waves of Rock "Battle of the Band"

Join us for WAVES OF ROCK: "Uniting Filipinos Through Music for the West Philippine Sea", an inspiring battle of the bands competition that celebrates unity and our sovereignty over the seas.

Theme: "Ang tagumpay sa WPS ay tagumpay ng bawat Pilipino, isang paalala na sa pagkakaisa, napagtitibay ang ating soberanya".

We're calling on all bands from Central Luzon to participate on July 11, 2026, at Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center, San Fernando Pampanga.

Contest Mechanics:

• Each band must have a minimum of 4 members.
• Maximum performance time is 17 minutes:
  • 5 minutes for setup and soundcheck.
  • 12 minutes for the actual performance (note: exceeding the time limit may incur point deductions).
• Each band must perform two songs:
  • One cover song.
  • One original composition aligned with the theme.
• Performance videos for screening must be submitted via Google Form.

Prizes:

• Champion: ₱30,000
• 1st Runner Up: ₱20,000
• 2nd Runner Up: ₱10,000
• Consolation Prize: ₱1,000

Special Awards (each will receive ₱1,000 and a trophy):

• Best in Vocal
• Best Lead Guitarist
• Best Bass Guitarist
• Best Drummer
• Best Keyboardist

Registration:

• Submit performance videos for screening from May 14 to June 20, 2026.
