What is Zouk?

🌍 It's a Brazilian couple dance that uses leading and following principles and can be danced to almost any kind of music! One of its signature elements includes flowing head movements and body waves.

Class Structure

🤝 You can join alone or with a partner. Partners will be switched during classes, but you can remain with your partner if preferred.

Zouk I (18:30-19:30):

• Beginners class
• Basic structures of Zouk
• Lead-follow technique

Level I Practica/Level II Warmup (19:30-19:45)

Zouk II (19:45-20:45):
Previous knowledge of Zouk basics required

• Head movements
• Variations
• Waves
• Body posture
• Keeping balance
• Turn techniques
• Connection techniques (e.g., frame, tension, elasticity)

Level II Practica/Level III Warmup (20:45-21:00)

Zouk III (21:00-22:00):
Invitational group (please message us if you wish to join)

• Advanced variations
• Head movements
• Musicality
• Fine-tuning lead & follow
