🎨 About Sean Hallowell:
Sean is an esteemed audiovisual artist from the Bay Area. His unique performances and installations combine hand-built electronic circuitry with a cosmic view of music’s origins in number and time. Sean explores the dual manifestations of visual and auditory phenomena, reflecting on the traditional “arts of number” such as music, arithmetic, geometry, and astronomy. His works have captivated audiences at festivals and galleries across the US, as well as in countries like Mexico, Chile, South Korea, the UK, Belgium, Croatia, and Iceland. He holds degrees in music theory from Brown University (AB) and Columbia University (PhD), specializing in 15th- and 16th-century Franco-Flemish vocal polyphony.
