Australian Physiology Competition 2026

🫀 Think you’ve gained enough diagnostic skills from House MD to assess your teammates? 🧠 Ready to put your physiology knowledge to the test and seize a subsidized trip to Malaysia for an international competition? The Australian Physiology Competition (APC) is back for 2026, uniting med students from all over the country for an exhilarating day filled with fast-paced physiology challenges, teamwork, and spirited academic competition.

Hosted by the reigning champions of last year’s APC, this event guarantees to get your sympathetic nervous system activated like never before!

📍 Location: The University of Sydney (hybrid participation available for teams outside Sydney ONLY!)
🍽️ Food and refreshments will be provided!

Individuals will engage in a true/false physiology quiz, along with tournament-style rounds. The victorious team will earn fully subsidized tickets to represent their university—and Australia—at the 2026 Inter-Medical School Physiology Competition in Kuala Lumpur this September! Moreover, over $300 worth of prizes await the top individual physiologists.

👥 Team requirements: 3-4 medical students or undergraduate double degree medical students.
💰 Registration Fees:

• In-Person (Sydney-Based) Teams:
  • Early Bird Registration: $25 pp (extended until Sunday 31st May)
  • Standard Registration: $30 pp (closes Sunday 7th June)
• Online Participants (must be outside Sydney): $10 per person (competing only in the team rounds, not the individual quiz, and must all be in the same enclosed room).
