You don’t really feel allowed to stop. So we’ve created a space where you can.
Hosted by a group of Portuguese grandmothers:
Learn embroidery Enjoy homemade cake and biscuits
Hear that you work too much Leave knowing you deserve a break.
A Manual Break, granny approved!

What this Saturday will look like:
- A warm welcome at the door: tea, biscuits, and the familiar question: “Have you eaten?”
- A short introduction to A Avó Veio Trabalhar and the grandmothers hosting the experience
- A slow embroidery workshop, guided by our grandmothers, learning one stitch at a time
- Homemade cakes, tea, and small Portuguese comforts throughout the afternoon
- Time to stay, sit, chat, or simply do nothing
- Small moments of care, conversation, and grandma wisdom
- A handmade piece to take home, so you remember it’s okay to stop
