Join us for a spectacular evening at the 50th Anniversary Gala of Battery Dance! This special event will take place at The Rooftop at Edison Ballroom in New York City, where we’ll gather to honor five decades of creativity, cultural diplomacy, and community involvement through the art of dance.

🍽️ Dinner & Performance: At 7:30 PM, enjoy a gourmet three-course dinner accompanied by mesmerizing performances from Battery Dance and its talented Dancing to Connect students.
🎖️ This gala will shine a spotlight on our esteemed honorees: Jonathan Hollander, the visionary founder of Battery Dance, recognized for his unmatched contributions to the world of dance; and Dr. Victoria Phillips, a distinguished author and expert in cultural diplomacy, whose work has traversed the globe.
About Our Honorees:
Jonathan Hollander has been a cornerstone of the dance community since founding Battery Dance in 1976, culminating in the creation of the Battery Dance Festival, New York’s longest-running public dance festival. A trailblazer and inspiring choreographer, he has gained worldwide recognition for his innovative works, emphasizing the role of dance in bringing people together.
Dr. Victoria Phillips, author of Martha Graham's Cold War: The Dance of American Diplomacy, examines how artistry can influence international relations. Currently, she plays a vital role at the London School of Economics and has enriched many institutions with her lectures and exhibitions.
