Data Science @ Regensburg goes Munich: Agents Special

About the event

Dear all,

It has been a while but now we are back! Welcome to Munich where our friends at jambit will host us. We have two talks for you this time, both with a focus on agentic frameworks. Sophia Althammer (Senior Member of Technical Staff @ Cohere in the Agents Team) will give us an update on the latest and hottest developments in LLMs and agents. Frank Strobl will offer a look into the future ...

We are very much looking forward to seeing you there,
Udo, Michael & Gregor

P.S.: There will, as usual, be a Zoom link so that you can join in if you cannot attend in person.

Speaker 1
Sophia Althammer (Senior Member of Technical Staff @ Cohere in the Agents Team)

Title:
Industrial Research Perspectives on LLM-Based Agents

Abstract:
LLM-based agents are transforming how people interact with software systems and accomplish complex tasks. They hold the potential to fundamentally redefine how humans collaborate with computers across industries.

In this talk, we will explore state-of-the-art methodologies behind training, evaluating, and deploying LLM-based agents from an industrial perspective. Most of the discussion will center around code agents, which will serve as the main case study throughout the talk. We will explore the infrastructure and engineering challenges involved in building reliable agentic systems, examine current limitations and common development pitfalls.

Speaker 2
Frank Strobl (Principal AI Transformation Consulting @ jambit)

Title:
AI und die Zukunft der SW-Entwicklung. Wie der Entwickler der Zukunft ein Team aus Agenten führt.
