Dilshad Khan is recognized as one of India's foremost Sarangi players. His musical journey began at the tender age of six under the tutelage of his uncle, the legendary Ustad Sultan Khan, and his grandfather, Ustad Gulab Khan, both esteemed figures of the Sikar Gharana style. A true prodigy, he has shared the stage with renowned artists, including the legendary Zakir Hussain, early in his career.

In 2022, Dilshad was honored with the prestigious Aga Khan Music Award as a special mention Laureate in Muscat, Oman. He has also been a vital part of the acclaimed 'Masters of Percussion' project led by maestro Zakir Hussain, performing at various prestigious events including the Darbar Festival in the UK.

His solo performances have captivated audiences in France, especially at the Guimet Museum Auditorium in Paris and the Namastè France Festival in 2016. Dilshad has collaborated with eminent vocalists in Indian classical music and has garnered acclaim for his melodic and rhythmic improvisations that beautifully navigate through Ragas. His mastery of the Sarangi, reputed as the most challenging of Indian instruments, allows him to express a dazzling array of sounds. Having revived and emphasized the folk compositions of Rajasthan, Dilshad Khan has paved the way for a new era in North Indian music and is celebrated both nationally and internationally. 🎵

🥁 Nihar Mehta: The Tabla Virtuoso

Nihar Mehta, recognized by the Government of India as an artist in tabla performance, holds approval from All India Radio/Television and the Sangeet Natak Academy of Gujarat. Hailing from a distinguished family known for their contributions to philosophy, literature, and music, Nihar has played a pivotal role in founding Saptak, India's longest-running music festival, held in Ahmedabad for over 45 years.

Since 2002, Nihar has been based in France and founded the Association Saptak India, which has gained acclaim throughout Europe for its outstanding dedication to Indian music. He has collaborated with esteemed musicians from both Indian and Western traditions, performing at renowned venues such as the Philharmonie of Paris, and various Asian art and ethnology museums across Europe, including Paris, Nice, Zurich, Lyon, and Leiden.

Nihar has participated in numerous prestigious festivals across Europe, the Middle East, and the USA, and has had the honor of working closely with legendary tabla maestro Ustad Zakir Hussain as a collaborator and tour organizer for over 12 years. 🎉
