Ecological Restoration Day on Chaney Trail * Día de Restauración Ecológica en Chaney Trail

We are thrilled to invite you to this volunteer day of ecological restoration and connecting with community on Chaney Trail.
Hosted by the US Forest Service and Mis Hermanos Pequenitos with collaboration from the Chaney Trail Corridor Project, we will work to restore habitat by removing invasive plants that have proliferated after the Eaton Fire.
We will start the day with a check-in and brief training from experts on habitat restoration then break into smaller work teams, each with an experienced leader.
Some tools and gloves will be supplied by the organizers, but please also feel free to bring your own pruners, loppers and/or gloves if you have them. We will have a station to clean tools before and after use.
Please wear long pants, long sleeves, and sturdy shoes. We will have snacks for breakfast, but please bring water and a lunch.
If you cannot attend the entire event, no problem, just be sure to come at the beginning so as not to miss the training and group assignments.
Map to 3650 Chaney Trail, Altadena, CA 91001 where we will gather before making the short walk to the restoration site. Free parking is there along the West side of Chaney Trail.

Estamos encantados de invitarle a este día de voluntariado dedicado a la restauración ecológica y a la conexión con la comunidad en Chaney Trail.
Organizado por el Servicio Forestal de los Estados Unidos y Mis Hermanos Pequeñitos, en colaboración con el Proyecto del Corredor Chaney Trail, trabajaremos para restaurar el hábitat mediante la eliminación de plantas invasoras que han proliferado después del Incendio Eaton.
Comenzaremos el día con el registro y una breve capacitación impartida por expertos en restauración de hábitats. Luego nos dividiremos en equipos de trabajo más pequeños, cada uno con un líder experimentado.
Algunas herramientas y guantes serán proporcionados por los organizadores; sin embargo, también le invitamos a traer sus propias tijeras de podar, podadoras de mango largo y/o guantes si los tiene. Tendremos una estación para limpiar las herramientas antes y después de su uso.
Por favor, use pantalones largos, camisas de manga larga y zapatos resistentes. Tendremos refrigerios para el desayuno, pero por favor traiga agua y su almuerzo.
Si no puede asistir durante todo el evento, no hay problema; solo asegúrese de llegar al inicio para no perder la capacitación ni la asignación de grupo.
