Edinburgh Canal Festival 2026

Welcome to the 2026 Edinburgh Canal Festival – a FREE community festival open to everyone! 🎊

Organized by the Fountainbridge Canalside Community Trust, this year's festival is a celebration of the Union Canal and the vibrant canalside community. Enjoy the festival in three lively zones, bringing everything closer as you explore the canal from Lochrin Basin to Fountainbridge Green.

Join us for a day filled with free activities, delicious food, and fantastic live music performances! 🎶🍔 Visitors will also have the opportunity to learn more about local charities and social enterprises through their stalls, exploring their missions and how to get involved! 🌟

As part of our wider Festival programme, we’ll also have additional events:

• Picnic in the Park at Harrison Park on 25th July 🧺
• The exciting Raft Race on 22nd August 🛶
