Family Studio: Home as a Vessel

Join MAD Artist Studios alum Michelle Im for a cozy morning of clay sculpting inspired by the notion of "home." 🏠 In this engaging workshop, families will create a sculptural vessel that embodies their personal interpretation of home.

Drawing inspiration from the artist's sculptural series developed during her 2024 Artist Studios Fellowship, participants will explore connections to objects, people, sounds, smells, memories, and feelings related to home. Through guided prompts and a beginner-friendly clay demonstration, attendees will learn handbuilding techniques such as pinch pots, coiling, and sculptural embellishments to craft meaningful and personalized vessels. 🎨✨
