This exciting workshop covers the essentials of fermentation—a fantastic way to prevent food waste by extending the shelf life of fresh fruits and veggies. Not only do fermented foods taste delightful, they also boast incredible benefits for gut health, influencing both physical and mental wellbeing!

The event will be guided by fermentation enthusiasts Joaquin & Roxana, two dedicated volunteers with extensive experience in both the art of fermentation and teaching others. You’ll have the chance to create sauerkraut in traditional styles, explore variations with different vegetables, or even experiment with an adventurous banana sauerkraut!

You’ll gain valuable insights into lacto-fermentation basics and learn to avoid common mistakes. Plus, you’ll leave with jars of the sauerkraut you made during the workshop and a handy brochure for kicking off your own fermentation journey at home. Feel free to bring extra jars to take home various sauerkraut creations!
