About the event

Join us for an unforgettable evening at Index Space in Chinatown, NYC!
Step away from your screens and immerse yourself in hands-on creativity with clay, paper, drawing tools, and more. You'll leave with a unique creation, infused with the energy you wish to carry into summer, plus new friends to share it with.
At Figma, we cherish the joy of making, and this event embodies that spirit: an opportunity to pause, trust your instincts, and create something truly personal. No prior artistic experience is necessary!

🎉 Event Highlights:

  • Open to all interns and students in the NYC area. A verified Figma for Education email is required for registration. Verify your email here.
  • Limited Capacity: Only 100 attendees! RSVPs will be reviewed based on the quality of responses, so share a bit about yourself!

🌟 Featured Artist:

Ayaka Takao (she/they) is a New York-based teaching artist and facilitator, born in Japan and raised in Honolulu, HI. With a focus on humanity and harmony, Ayaka works across various mediums including ceramics, painting, and the written word. In her teaching practice, she fosters connection and self-actualization through hands-on activities, leading with curiosity and sincerity.
When not at Index Space, she enjoys quiet moments by a babbling brook.
