The museum will close its doors at 5:00 p.m., with a few buildings and exhibits staying open until the fireworks begin.

💥 Fireworks Display begins at 9:15 p.m. (Note: Timing may vary in case of severe weather.)

Purchase a ticket to ride the Firecracker Express! 🚂 Enjoy a vintage train ride across the historic North Carolina Transportation Museum grounds. Passengers will see the structures that serviced Southern Railway’s steam locomotives and have the opportunity to disembark at the Roundhouse for the best view of the fireworks! 🎆 Each ride lasts approximately 25 minutes and is suitable for all ages—every passenger will receive a patriotic souvenir! 🇺🇸
