Firkin Brewery Summer Jazz Series: Women in Jazz

Join us as Women in Jazz take over the iconic garden at Fox & Firkin for the first show of our vibrant four-part summer series, celebrating the remarkable talent shaping the London jazz scene. 🌼✨

This inaugural event will feature performances by the exceptional Marysia Osu and an electrifying DJ Set by Lily London, with more artists to be announced soon!

Women in Jazz is dedicated to uplifting female performers through impactful events and workshops, boasting a thriving community of over 10,500 including singer-songwriters, producers, instrumentalists, and composers. 🌍💪

Their initiatives have included producing radio shows for Sky TV, Jazz FM, and British Airways, hosting panel discussions at the Love Supreme Festival, and programming live events at renowned venues such as Ronnie Scott’s. They also direct a YouTube show titled Uncovered, highlighting the most exciting female talent across the UK. 🎤🎶

Supported by a grassroots music grant from Arts Council England, this series champions emerging artists and live music within the community while contributing to the Lewisham Donation Hub, a local charity that offers crucial support to those facing acute hardship in South East London. 🤝❤️

Expect the largest pub garden in SE London to transform into a lively atmosphere filled with street food, refreshing drinks, and a laid-back summer vibe. 🌞🍹 Families are warmly welcomed, with free entry for children, market stalls, and fun activities for little ones! 🎈👶
