Flow Dance #7 - The Power of our Voices
Flow Dance #7 - The Power of our Voices
Date: Thursday July 9th 2026
Time: Doors open at 19:00 | Doors close at 19:15
Location: Genezareth Kirche, Schillerkiez
For our second dance of the year, we want to explore the theme of voice.
We live within systems which thrive on marginalised folks feeling small, staying silent and shrinking. As women and people who have been socialised or perceived as women, we can all share the experience of not being heard, our opinions being less valued than the ones of our male peers, being labelled as angry or aggressive when setting boundaries or being assertive. We grow up feeling shame around our body and our voice, trying to fit in and being the “good girl”. We learn from an early age that it’s unsafe to express fully and authentically, to take up space and be bold, to challenge oppressive systems, to use our anger and grief as fuel, to embrace and be moved by pleasure, passion and aliveness.
FLOW provides the space for us to practice taking up space, with our body and with our voice, together. There is an immense power within us and we can collectively reclaim it by practicing moving and voicing while being witnessed and supported in it.
What to Expect:

Important to know!
Flow Dance strives to bring the political into the personal: we are a team of facilitators and activists, weaving together spiritual practices, community, and collective liberation. You can expect a space where privilege is named, power is shared, and bodies are given the space to (hopefully) feel some sense of liberation.
No dance or singing experience is required, only a commitment to go with your own flow.
Guidelines: no shoes, no photos, no talking on the dance floor, no alcohol or substances, and respect others and their boundaries. We have space to move, a cosy corner to lie down and stretch, a garden to feel the fresh air and many cosy spots upstairs.
We will be selling cacao at the event, which is not included in the ticket.
Please be aware that there might be some nudity during the event. We welcome all expressions from the bodies of free women.
Please note we will not tolerate racism, sexism, transphobia, homophobia, ableism or prejudices based on ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender & gender presentation, ability, class, asylum status.
