๐๐ฟ Foraging in the Bay Area: Herb & Mushroom Talk + Tea Tasting
What's Growing Around Us?
Curious about the wild plants and fungi thriving right in your neighborhood? Join Cindy (@cindydoedee) for an engaging, hands-on presentation exploring the herbs and mushrooms growing wild throughout the Bay Area.
Cindy will bring in a real collection of foraged specimens โ spanning edible, medicinal, poisonous, and even deadly species โ giving attendees a tangible, up-close opportunity to learn the fundamentals of identification. Expect lively discussion on everything from safe, tasty finds to the ones you absolutely want to recognize and avoid (for yourself and your pups on the trail! ๐).
A note from Cindy: "I've been spotting a lot of Death Caps around Oakland lately. I'll be bringing mushrooms โ including Death Caps โ along with herbs, for a focused look at identification basics. Knowing how to recognize our local deadly toxic species is essential for foraging safety!"
