About the event

Learn about the real lives of sharks with Dr. Stephen Palumbi, Professor of Marine Sciences at Stanford University.

While a few shark species are dangerous wildlife, the public portrayal of sharks as villains and killers is overblown. Explore how sharks interact with and influence the environment. Distinguish fact from myth and learn to respect and admire these fascinating animals.

Stephen Palumbi is a Professor of Marine Sciences and Biology at Stanford University, Senior Fellow at Woods Institute for the Environment and leader of The Palumbi Lab at Hopkins Marine Station.

This event is presented in partnership with Wonderfest, The Bay Area Beacon of Science.
