Dive deep into the past as we examine ten significant objects from the Illinois State Museum's collection. Each object opens a window to the lives of the people who once used them, presenting a narrative against the backdrop of various pivotal periods such as:

  • The first Indigenous peoples of Illinois
  • The Revolutionary War era
  • Euro-American immigration
  • The Civil War
  • The Great Depression
  • The Vietnam War

✨ Bringing your own cherished object or a family photo can enrich the experience! At the conclusion of the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to share their own family stories associated with these meaningful objects.
