The Jan Kučera Trio was formed in 1999 and consists of Jan Kučera on piano, Jan Kořínek on bass, and Radek Němejc on drums. In 2000, they released their CD Stav beztíže (State of Weightlessness), on which the then newly formed string quartet Epoque Quartet also plays with the trio. Over the following years, the trio played together only sporadically. Their repertoire consists mainly of jazz standards, but also includes their own compositions.
