Karachi Community Radio presents: Fragile Formats w/ Natasha Noorani, TEE EM DEE, wev [UPSTAIRS]
Join us for Fragile Formats, a unique blend of storytelling, archival listening, and live conversation! ✨
🎤 Hosted by Natasha Noorani, this session features a carefully curated selection of rare Pakistani 45s from the 1960s and 1970s. Experience music as a vital entry point into history, identity, and preservation.
🎧 The conversation will be moderated by TEE EM DEE from Third Floor Sounds, guiding you through the rich and ephemeral history of the Pakistani 45. Discover the vibrant sounds from raw folk to high-energy state-sponsored hits, navigating a vulnerable sonic archive reflecting an avant-garde spirit still largely unheard today.
🔊 Natasha Noorani is a talented musician and music historian from Lahore. She founded Peshkash, an archival project dedicated to celebrating 20th-century Pakistani music through collection and curation of vinyl records, cassette tapes, and oral histories.
