Call for Papers

We are thrilled to announce the upcoming Kings & Queens 15 conference, themed Kings, Queens, and Dynasties in Peril, taking place in beautiful Prague, Czech Republic! 🇨🇿

📅 Dates: September 2 to 4, 2026
📍 Location: Národní 1009/3, 110 00 Prague, Czech Republic

Organized by the Dvory a rezidence, Centre for Research on Courts and Residences and the Historical Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences, this event promises to bring together scholars and enthusiasts in royal studies.

Key Speakers:

• Assoc. Prof. Jonathan Spangler (Manchester Metropolitan University)
• Assoc. Prof. Cindy McCreery & Prof. Robert Aldrich (The University of Sydney)

Proposal Submission:
To propose a 20-minute paper, please send your abstract (max. 250 words) accompanied by a short bio of the presenter(s) to kq26prague@hiu.cas.cz by January 31, 2026.
Proposals for panels should include a maximum of four papers with the same information. Selected applicants will be notified by February 28, 2026.
