Lakeside X
LAKESIDE X are working on a new album with Daniel Meyer and Depeche Mode drummer Christian Eigner, and on June 12, 2026, they will premiere a new concert program at Prague’s CARGO GALLERY, including several new songs.
Lakeside X is an alternative indie pop/rock band from Prague (CZ), operating at the intersection of synth-pop, modern electronic music, and alternative guitar-driven music. Their sound combines melancholy with energy, distinctive synthesizers with guitars, and the characteristic, delicate vocals of frontman and songwriter Janne Marvannen. The band has a history spanning more than twenty years, during which it has released four studio albums and established itself on the European electronic and alternative scene. Lakeside X’s fan base stretches from the Czech Republic through Germany, Poland, and the UK all the way to the US and South America. After resuming activities in 2020, the band collaborated with Daniel Myer (Haujobb, Architect, Covenant), with whom they released the album “Love Disappears” (2022). The album was supported by a series of singles and a successful release show at Lucerna Music Bar in Prague.
Lakeside X are a sought-after live act. They opened for the legendary Depeche Mode (Prague, 2023), shared the stage with And One, Front 242, and Suicide Commando, and appeared at major festivals such as Wave-Gotik-Treffen, NCN Leipzig, Schwarze Ball (CH), EXIT Festival (RS), and Rock for People (CZ).
In 2025, the band played nearly 40 concerts across Europe—specifically in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Poland, Hungary, and the Czech Republic—thus confirming their strong position on the international club and festival scene.
For 2026, Lakeside X is preparing to release a new studio album, on which they are once again collaborating with producer Daniel Myer and Depeche Mode drummer Christian Eigner. The new material is designed with a clear emphasis on live performance and further international concert activities.
