About the event

A Message from the Organizer:

My dear friends,

I’m reaching out after a long, unintended hiatus.

It’s been a very difficult time for me, and I’ve been trying to get through it and get back on my feet.

This break was caused by a situation I wouldn’t wish on anyone. I suddenly suffered a ruptured aneurysm in my head and was in the wrong place at the wrong time. While unconscious, I fell down the stairs and sustained serious injuries all over my body, including my brain.

You have no idea how much I missed you, because music really is everything to me. I tried to stay connected to it even in the hospital, where they took wonderful care of me and continue to provide outpatient care.

I’m slowly getting ready to come see you—I’m already missing you.

But I still thought it would be wise to wait a few more weeks, so we’ve decided to reschedule the April concerts for June.

The first concert will be on May 1, 2026, at the J.K. Tyl Theater in Třeboň, followed by one on May 21 in Jindřichův Hradec. The April concerts have been rescheduled for June 2026.

Lenka Filipová, Czech singer, chanson singer, guitarist, composer, and songwriter. “The guitar was leaning against the wall at home, so I just picked it up—I was 9 years old.” A turning point came with her encounter with French singer-songwriter Francis Cabrel and the song “Zamilovaná,” which Cabrel composed and for which Zdeněk Rytíř wrote the Czech lyrics; the song remains her biggest hit to this day. She also never completely abandoned her original profession as a classical solo guitarist, which ultimately led to several LPs dedicated solely to classical guitar music.

Her songs for children also received a favorable response. All of this propelled her into the top ten of the most popular Czech singers in the Zlatý slavík poll. She has also received a number of international recognitions and awards. Currently, she is also exploring the electric guitar. Guests: Sean Barry – accordion, Celtic harp; Jára Bárta – piano, electric piano.
