How much do we lie to ourselves and our loved ones? Are we protecting those we care about, or rather ourselves? And is it always better to tell the truth, or is it more advantageous to lie?

"If everyone told the truth, there wouldn't be a single couple left on Earth."

Alice and Paul are waiting for their best friends, the harmonious couple Laurence and Michel, to arrive for dinner. But Alice is on pins and needles and asks Paul to cancel the dinner at the last minute. Shortly before, she saw Michel kissing a strange woman on the street. While Alice is convinced that Michel's wife should know the truth, Paul strongly advocates considerate silence. However, Alice does not intend to lie to her friend and insists that Paul quickly cancel the dinner. But it's too late. The guests are already ringing the doorbell.
