silent green präsentiert // silent green presents•Martyna BastaMartyna Basta ist eine polnische Komponistin, Produzentin und Singer-Songwriterin, deren Arbeit an der Schnittstelle von Art-Pop, Chamber Folk und elektroakustischer Komposition angesiedelt ist. Zunächst an der klassischen Gitarre ausgebildet, wandte sie sich gegen die Strenge des klassischen Musikbetriebs und verlagerte ihre Praxis hin zur Elektronik. Mit bearbeiteten Field Recordings und instrumentalen Samples entwickelt sie eine Art klangliches Tagebuch.Ihre Musik verbindet gespenstische Vocals und eindringliches Songwriting mit granularer Elektronik zu einer intimen Klangwelt. Das Tagebuchhafte steht im Zentrum ihres Schaffens und greift Themen wie Verletzlichkeit, Erinnerung und Sehnsucht auf. Ausgehend von stark bearbeiteten Aufnahmen ihres eigenen Spiels auf Zither, Cembalo, Gitarre und mehr entsteht eine taktile Formsprache, die fragil, präzise und zutiefst persönlich wirkt – beeinflusst von der emotionalen Intensität des Shoegaze ebenso wie von der Ornamentik barocker Musik.Mit Auftritten bei CTM, Unsound und Cafe OTO sowie internationaler Anerkennung von Pitchfork, Dazed, The Wire und der Kuratorin Margeaux Labat hat sie sich als unverwechselbare Stimme etabliert, die popnahe Emotionalität mit einer fein ausdifferenzierten Klangsprache verbindet. Seine Arbeiten sind eng mit der Natur verbunden und greifen ein breites Spektrum an Einflüssen aus tradioneller Musik, Lyrik und Horror auf.
