🎷 The Matthew Liebeck Quartett, an international jazz ensemble established in 2024 and led by the talented trumpeter and composer Matthew Liebeck (originally from London), is deeply inspired by the adventurous spirit of the 1960s Miles Davis Quintet and the harmonic brilliance of Herbie Hancock’s Blue Note recordings.

This quartet seamlessly integrates drum and bass influences into its jazz fabric, drawing inspiration from legendary pioneers like Photek, Dillinja, and Source Direct. Rather than simply quoting these influences, the band channels them into a unique groove, emphasizing momentum and form.
