Nick Tomalin, a skilled jazz pianist with nearly three decades of experience, has made his mark on the London jazz scene, collaborating with notable artists such as Jim Mullen, Mark Lockheart, Alan Barnes, and Stan Sulzmann. His journey includes a memorable masterclass with George Shearing at the Guildhall School of Music in 1994, leading to the formation of his band, Shades of Shearing, which pays homage to Shearing’s remarkable legacy. 🥁

The band, reflecting the classic quintet setup, will perform cherished pieces like Lullaby of Birdland alongside beautifully crafted arrangements that may be lesser-known but equally captivating. 🌟 Recently, they have partnered with the enchanting vocalist Lily Dior, who has become a rising star on the London jazz scene, renowned for her versatility in both jazz and soul. 🎤💫
