Reprise of the play about the Haas brothers.
The ultimate separation of the talented Brno brothers was caused by World War II. Composer Pavel remained in his homeland and was later murdered in Auschwitz, where the sombre epilogue of his musical work was created. Actor Hugo emigrated and survived the war. Although Hugo's name is more widely known, Pavel Haas's fate, alongside his diverse musical work that includes orchestral and chamber compositions as well as stage and film music, represents a remarkable life story.
In the original theatrical production Noir Haas, the confrontation of famous and semi-forgotten personalities ranges from imaginative images on the borderline of historical fidelity and fiction to an authorial dialogue with the genre of classical biography.
