Operation Spöknät Skånska Kattegatt

Join us for an impactful initiative as we tackle the issue of ghost nets in the beautiful marine reserve of Skånska Kattegatt! 📅

From 2021 to 2022, GUE Sweden documented ghost nets on eleven wrecks, and we still have about five wrecks left to explore. In 2026, we're launching a significant clean-up operation to retrieve and document as many ghost nets as possible! 🌐

Event Highlights:

• Duration: Five consecutive weeks in July/August
• Diving Depths:
  • Week 1 (July 18-25): Max 30 meters (Nitrox)
  • Week 2 (July 25 - August 1): Max 30 meters (Nitrox)
  • Week 3 (August 1-8): Max 30 meters (Nitrox)
  • Week 4 (August 8-15): Around 40 meters (Trimix, CCR Divers Required)
  • Week 5 (August 15-22): Around 40 meters (Trimix, CCR Divers Required)

All divers are required to have GUE DPV1 certification. In addition, retrieval training will be offered at the beginning of each week for all participants. 🏊‍♂️
