
Organ Recital by Timothy Byram-Wigfield
Join us for an enchanting late-afternoon organ recital at the Church of the Holy Spirit, Narbonne Avenue, Clapham. Immerse yourself in a wonderful selection of music featuring compositions by Mozart, Haydn, Mendelssohn, Messiaen, and Copland.
We are proud to present the distinguished Timothy Byram-Wigfield, a renowned organist and choir trainer. His impressive credentials include being the Organ Scholar at @christchurchoxford and the Sub-Organist of @winchestercathedral. Timothy made history as the youngest Cathedral Organist in the UK when he was appointed Master of the Music at St Mary’s Cathedral, Edinburgh, at just 28. He has also held prominent positions as the first Director of Music at Jesus College, Cambridge and Director of Music at @stgeorgeswindsor, where he directed the music for the Annual Service of the Order of the Garter and for the marriage blessing of the then HRH Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall.
With extensive experience as Deputy Director of the @OxfordBachChoir for over a decade and Chorus Master for the Scottish Chamber Orchestra Chorus, he has collaborated with renowned conductor Sir Charles Mackerras during the Edinburgh International Festival.
After the recital, enjoy refreshments and participate in a sung evensong at 6:30 PM. Admission is free, but donations are welcome and will support the maintenance of the exquisite Hunter organ at the Church of the Holy Spirit.
