A sharp slap in the face to the progressive psychedelic scene. In Panoptikum’s musical landscape, you’ll find a lot—from ’60s romance and a Wild West atmosphere to masterful prog-psychedelia with a contemporary sound: odd rhythms, exotic harmonies, ’80s synths, and heavier guitars. Panoptikum keeps you on your toes. They take their music seriously, yet they don’t lack a sense of humor. And they shine brightest on the live stage. On Wednesday, May 27, at Cargo Gallery in Prague, Panoptikum will launch their new album Pizza Extrapolis, which is set to be released on April 22 via Kabinet Records.

Their discography includes the hour-long live session Pizza Party Session (2024), their debut LP Mantichora (2022), and their eponymous EP (2018). Also worth mentioning is their collaboration with the late legend of the Czech dubbing scene—actor and longtime voice of Clint Eastwood, Ladislav Županič.

MIDNIGHT SWIMMERS

Midnight Swimmers, a band formed in London and now based in Prague, made a name for themselves on the Czech indie scene with their debut EP Oceans & Seas. This was followed by a performance at Rock for People 2025 and a spot in the finals of Radio Wave’s Startér talent competition. They are planning to release their first full-length album in the spring of 2026. Their music is characterized by indie-rock grooves, melancholic ambient textures, and intimate vocal lines, which together create a sound that oscillates between guitar-driven energy and dreamy introspection.
