Three people find themselves on a path they didn't choose. The unknown terrain brings uncertainty, but it is also a source of adventure and strength. It is strength that drives them forward – because there is nowhere to go back to.
Directed by Viliam Dočolomanský, Refuge 2025 is a powerful physical experience – it speaks through movement, music, and light. It opens a space for emotions. For tension, compassion, courage. This emotional landscape is created by four dance performers: Hana Varadzinová, David Králík, Michaela Králiková and Andrej Štepita. The strong atmosphere of the production is completed by live music performed by leading jazz musicians Marcel Bárta, Štěpán Janoušek and Jan Chalupa / Vít Halška and unique sound design by Eva Svobodová.
Refuge 2025, which represented the Czech Republic at the Orbita Spellbound Festival in Rome, follows the successful 2018 production – with a new cast and a new urgency.
