What is ScrapFest? 🤔

Welcome to ScrapFest! Teams will have 1 hour to collect scrap metal (up to 500 lbs for Large, 250 lbs for Small, and a 5-gallon bucket for Extra Small) from Friedland Industries in Old Town Lansing, Michigan during early May. After gathering their materials, participants have one month to create unique sculptures from the scrap they collected.

In mid-July, we line Turner Rd in Old Town Lansing with all the amazing sculptures for the ScrapFest festival, which is FREE to enter! Sculptures will be juried for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and People's Choice awards in both Large and Small categories, along with a People's Choice award for Extra Small. All sculptures will be available for silent auction.

ScrapFest has evolved from a simple sculpture competition into a full-blown festival attracting visitors worldwide. We hope to see you there!
