Please read the stories listed below before attending. For every story we will start with summarizing the story so that we have it fresh in our minds. We will share our opinions about the story, which parts we liked and which we didn't like, and we will discuss any and all aspects of the story and the writing.

📖 About this session
This week we are reading several short stories by the British novelist Jean Rhys best known for writing the novel Wide Saragasso Sea imagined as a prequel to Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre. Please read the following short stories from her first published work of fiction, a collection called The Left Bank and Other Stories:

👗 Mannequin at approximately 2100 words
🫖 Tea With An Artist at approximately 1600 words
🏛 From A French Prison at approximately 1000 words
🔮 A Spiritualist at approximately 1000 words
🍹 Mixing Cocktails at approximately 1000 words
☕️ In A Café at approximately 750 words
❔️ Trio at approximately 400 words

The stories are quite short so don't be intimidated by how many they are. :) Also if you like them and want to read the entire collection it is available at The Left Bank and Other Stories.
