Om evenemanget

Explore a remarkable exhibition showcasing the beauty of Silesian artistry from the 12th to the 16th centuries! ✨

The exhibition is divided into two captivating parts:

1️⃣ Silesian Stone Sculpture (12th-16th Century) - Currently being rearranged, this section will reopen later this year!

2️⃣ Silesian Art of the 14th-16th Century - Visit the first floor of the Museum to marvel at this fascinating display.

Highlights include:

  • A stunning Romanesque tympanum, likely from the portal of the Benedictine Ołbin Abbey, dating back to the 12th century.
  • Tombs of the Silesian princes from the Piast dynasty, featuring the exceptional sarcophagus of Duke Henry IV Probus of Wrocław (d. 1290) – one of Poland's most precious Gothic artworks, adorned with intricate polychromy. 🎨
