Party

Sinewave with Martin Gilleshøj, WE.LL, Amazinggajin

About the event

Sinewave makes its debut at Jolene — a new night rooted in the sine wave at the heart of all synthesis, and the bass-heavy UK lineage that grew from it.

The concept is simple but purposeful: most of the music that shaped a generation of producers started with a single oscillator, a clean tone moving through a synthesizer. Sinewave traces that thread forward — from the rolling breaks and skippy rhythms of 2-step and UK garage, through the weight of dubstep, into the harder, darker pressures of contemporary techno and mutant club music.

Martin Gilleshøj needs little introduction in Copenhagen. A DJ, label head, and scene architect — founder of Buttheads, co-founder of Axces Recordings and Kune Festival, former operator of Proton Records — he brings decades of dedication to building rooms and building communities. His sets resist easy categorisation: fluid, adventurous, emotionally intelligent. He might stay deep and hypnotic for an hour, then pivot somewhere warmer and more kinetic without losing the thread. That inquisitive energy is his signature, and it fits the Sinewave brief well.

Amazinggaijin is the alias of Jean-Hugues Kabuiku, French writer, theorist, and the driving force behind Sinewave. Signed to London's All Centre — the label home to some of the most uncompromising sounds at the intersection of UK bass and experimental club music — his sets occupy the space where 2-step's syncopation meets the murkier textures of post-dubstep electronics. A member of the Copenhagen Overtone Collective and co-organiser of the five-day Sonoluma Festival, Kabuiku brings an intellectual rigour to his selections that never tips into coldness. Expect mutant rhythms, heavy bass, and the kind of curation that rewards close listening on the floor.

Co-Founder, Resident, and Organizer of A.S.S.M.R. Collective in Copenhagen. Former Founder, Resident, and Organizer of SEQUENTIAL HAPTICS N.Y.C.

His sets weave between powerful peaks and meditative moments, creating a space where connection and release are just as much about the music as the community that surrounds it.

After a decade immersed in NYC’s rich underground scene - feeding on hardcore, industrial, melodic, groove, breakbeat, and psy techno - Copenhagen-based WE.LL delivers a razor-sharp story telling, forward-driving psychedelic leaning sets that weave into hypnotic rolling grooves. You can expect intricate sound design, textured atmospheres, and rhythmic artifacts collide with peak-time percussion.

A Thursday at Jolene is its own thing: tighter, more focused, the kind of crowd that came because they wanted to be there. First edition. Worth showing up for.
