This monumental work, crafted around 1572–73, is celebrated for its intricate counterpoint, employing forty independent vocal lines arranged into eight choirs of five voices each.
Originally performed at the stunning Nonsuch Palace, this composition takes you on an auditory journey, with sound flowing seamlessly from choir to choir, wrapping the audience in harmonious waves.
