Continuing the momentum from The Nepal Discourse at Harvard University and MIT, join us for an intimate follow-on conversation with four of Nepal’s most impactful builders and thinkers in technology, capital formation, and entrepreneurship.
Manoj Paudel is an entrepreneur, economist, and investor building next-generation capital architecture from Kathmandu. As Founder and Executive Chairperson of Aadhyanta Fund Management, one of Nepal’s pioneering domestic private capital platforms, he has structured and mobilized over USD 30 million across clean energy, technology, and high-impact sectors. He chairs the Investment & International Affairs Forum at FNCCI, Nepal’s apex business association, where he leads international investment diplomacy and drives reforms in economic policy and the PE/VC ecosystem. He co-founded Nepal Development Public Ltd., a flagship vehicle channeling diaspora and domestic capital into nationally strategic infrastructure. A Chevening Scholar and LSE graduate, he has advised policymakers at the highest levels of government, including former Prime Ministers. Manoj’s work sits at the frontier of finance, policy, and institution-building — designing the connective tissue between emerging markets and global capital.
Rashik Adhikari is the Founder and CEO of Renegade Insurance, a digital insurtech platform that has raised $80M from top investors. Before founding his own ventures, Rashik built his investment career at Citigroup and the Soros Fund, bringing a rare combination of institutional finance pedigree and founder-operator experience. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Pukar C. Hamal ’13 is the first Nepali-American featured on the front page of Forbes.com, recognized as CEO and Founder of SecurityPal — a $105M cybersecurity assurance company headquartered in San Francisco with offices in New York and Kathmandu, backed by top Silicon Valley investors. Born in Kathmandu with roots in Darchula, Pukar immigrated to New York City at age 7, conducted research at Columbia University in high school, and went on to Stanford for his undergraduate degree before launching his career on Sand Hill Road.
The conversation will be moderated by Bibek Paudel, (Postdoctoral Fellow, Stanford University; PhD, University of Zurich) is an AI scientist working on machine learning, large language models, and large-scale data systems. His research applies AI to real-world problems in healthcare and personalization at scale.
