Steps for Shelter Pets

🌟 Charlotte-Mecklenburg Animal Care & Control warmly invites you to participate in Steps for Shelter Pets, an impactful walk designed to raise awareness and support for the animals in our care.

In 2025, our shelter lovingly welcomed over 10,800 animals. Each lap you walk symbolizes one of these precious lives, emphasizing the critical importance of adoption, fostering, donating, and responsible pet ownership.

For 2026, we're aiming to raise $5 per lap with a total fundraising target of $54,000! 💰 The funds will support essential programs that enhance animal well-being, including enrichment activities, supplies, and specialized medical care that goes beyond routine operations.

Participants are encouraged to set personal lap goals and find sponsors to amplify their impact! Let’s unite in Charlotte to step up for the animals who need us the most. 🐶❤️
