Presented by the Bed-Stuy Double Dutch Club in partnership with the RISE Project, Center for Justice Innovation and Neighbors in Action.
The Juneteenth community celebration will take place from 12 PM – 5 PM and will include free activities, food, snacks, music, and open community programming for all ages
If you'd like to join us for the inaugural Juneteenth Double Dutch Championship, it will be taking place at 3PM. This is an intergenerational celebration of movement, rhythm, endurance, and community in the heart of Brooklyn.
This community activation brings together teams, freestyle jumpers, families, and neighbors for an afternoon of competition, culture, and collective play at Herbert Von King Park.
The championship will feature:
👯♀️ Team Routine Competition
💃🏾 Individual Freestyle Competition
✨ Open Community Jump Sessions
Whether you’re competing, cheering on your team, or jumping in during open rope sessions, this event is designed to celebrate legacy, movement, and community connection during Juneteenth weekend.
All ages are welcome.
Limited day-of freestyle registration may be available if space allows.
