When he was expelled from the monastery as a young monk, he decided to prove his love for God in a different way. On a green meadow near Madrid, Justo Gallego laid the foundations of a sanctuary of grandiose proportions. His neighbours from the village occasionally help him build the structure, which reaches up to 35 metres in height, but most of the time he works alone. This peculiar man resembles a renaissance artist at work, and scales heights without any safety equipment. Filled with fascinating footage of Gallego’s distinctive structure, whose existence seems like a miracle, the documentary provides evidence of unbreakable human determination.
